Review: Estee Lauder Cyber Metallic Gelee Shadow "Arctic Sky"

I've fallen in love with a new eye shadow.

I saw a lot on the blogs when Estee Lauder first launched this shadow range, but not a lot since. I basically wanted them all, they looked amazing. They're not cheap though. They come in at £19 for 0.9g. That's not a lot of eye shadow for a lot of money. But I do plan on buying more.

The packaging is rather sumptuous, it's gold and blingy. There's a decent sized mirror in the lid, but space is wasted with a sponge applicator. The shadow itself has an interesting pattern. So, of course, I don't want to use it and ruin the pattern.

I bought Arctic Sky (along with another, which I'll review later). I think that was a limited edition shade, but others were part of the permanent line. This is a cornflower blue with pink shimmer, it's quite unique and very beautiful. There is a metallic finish, but it glows rather than being obnoxiously shimmery.

The pigmentation and texture are absolutely amazing. They're smooth and rich to apply, but blend as much as you need them. Even without a primer, it shows almost true to pan. With a primer, it shows brighter and lasts much longer on my (oily) lids. I got no fall out, no fading and no creasing. The pink shimmer definitely can be seen on the lids, giving this an almost duo-chrome look.

Seriously, a stunning eye shadow.

    1. I considered that palette but didn't have the budget for it when it was out.
