Beauty Blog Advent Calendar 2012: 25/12/12


Last year, Sparklecrack Central came up with the idea of a Beauty Blog Advent Calendar where we featured little bits of beauty blogging things we love. This year, she gave us a bit more notice and we are joined by The Unknown Beauty Blog

Beauty Blog Advent Calendar - Day 25

Sorry about missing yesterday's post, I wasn't well and blogging was a bit more than I could manage.

I hope everyone who is celebrating has had a lovely day today!

Here's a very simple and impressive recipe for you. This is a favourite in our house, it's quick to make but absolutely delicious and somewhat decadent! This is a fairly common recipe, I've used the Good Food site as reference today.


Ingredients
-600ml double cream
-140g caster sugar
-Juice of 2 large lemons

-Put the cream in a large pan along with the sugar.
-Heat with a low heat, bringing it slowly to the boil. Make sure you stir very frequently, if you heat it too quickly it will catch on the bottom of the pan.
-Simmer for about 3 minutes. You'll notice it thicken up.
-Take off the heat, add the lemon juice and mix well.
-Pour into 6 ramekins and refrigerate for 3 hours.

We sometimes add a little broken up Cadbury's Flake to the top of ours. This is very, very rich and you don't need as much of it as you think!
