Review: KIM Brushes

I'm always looking at new brushes. I don't need any more, but they're almost as much fun as something shimmery and sparkly.

I've got 2 brushes from a brush company called KIM brushes to show you today.

The brushes feel solidayly made without being too big and bulky. They have matte black handles and a silver metallic ferrule. Each brush has the name of the company and the brush type and number printed on them. It's a fairly standard format for brushes, I've got at least 2 other major brush brands that use this colour/design combination in my brush stash.

This brush is available for $10. It's an angular brush that is suggested for use with eye liner. The bristles are quite soft and a little too soft for me to use with gel liner. I do like this to fill in my brows though, it works so much better with powders. I can use this to create some very natural looking brush stroked to even out my brows. It cleans very easily and I haven't lost any bristles after cleaning.

I haven't had a huge amount of use for this brush. It's a lip brush that's available for $9. I'm much more of a lipgloss user but I do have a few lipsticks that I used to test this brush out! It creates a very precise edge to lipsticks and if you're a fan of the vampy lip, this is going to help create a crisp edge. I found it applied an even layer of lipstick to my lips. I did find that it absorbed a bit of colour from the lipstick but I managed to clean it off with some cleansing oil. I do feel as though the brush handle could be a bit shorter for a lip brush.

I think the two brushes I tried were of pretty good quality. There's a pretty extensive range of brushes on the site so it would be interesting to explore the range further.
