So it's decided, I'm going on a No-Buy. Not for any financial reason but purely for lack of time. There is so much sat waiting to be photographed and reviewed that I'm losing track of what *I* want to do and use, rather than what I want to feature on my blog and YouTube.
I'm giving it 3 months-ish. The last day will be 31st January so it's not an excessive (and unachievable) time frame. I'm hoping that will help me focus more on the blogging rather than the "omg, shiny new thing!" and get some of this stuff sorted out!
I'll also be filtering through my stash and adding the occasional thing to my sale post. I have a lot of awesome stuff that just doesn't get used or it's just not quite doing it for me.
Help, Aromaleigh's just reopened!
Hi Becky, great to hear about the No buy, even I hauled so much makeup in past few months that I wonder how on earth, will I ever use it all up.. So Yeah No Buy is the way to go at least for next 45 days.. I might snag some stuff around Christmas though. All the best for your makeup diet
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the 'no buy'!! It's such a good idea...but I have zero willpower..the pretty make up things just call out my name and I have to have them! So, I take my hat off to you for this! xx
ReplyDelete"Help, Aromaleigh's just reopened!" is exactly my thought - I just reorganised my make-up a bit and reminded myself how much I actually have. Far too much. I really need to at least try to use some products up and hit pan on some others before I can let myself buy anything new.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain!! Holiday season is coming up...but I've seen several kits and Have Not Been Thrilled, so there's hope.
ReplyDeleteUnless Aromaleigh releases a winter holiday themed collection. Then I'm probably sunk. :(
Good luck with your no-buy! I'm currently trying that but never have a huge amount of luck. I'm just trying for small-buy. I agree with you that limiting what you buy is the best way to figure out what you have and to make time for other things, like blogging.
ReplyDelete@Indian Beauty Central - Good luck with your no buy!
ReplyDelete@Scotlass99 - same here! This is going to be quite hard :)
@Julianne - I have quite a lot of Aromaleigh samples that I haven't used, those will have to keep me content for now :)
@LiAnn - I'm sure Aromaleigh's winter holday collection is going to be beautiful! Because you know there's going to be one!
@Jennifer - Thanks :)
Hi from Dublin, I have started following your blog and YouTube channel, I am a huge fan of yours.
ReplyDeleteNo buy is going to be tough around this time of the year I guess. Christmas gift set came to my mind immediately...
Oh dear...
Haha! I decided to put myself on a No-Buy (haven't made up my mind how long for yet :-/), right after our little spree on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteLet's see how long I can hold out for.
