I've had this picture sat on my camera since the weekend. I got a little distracted with my camcorder disaster and finally uploaded the picture today.
I got to try one of the Crackle Polishes from Born Pretty recently. I got the green shade and I immediately knew I had to layer it over something silver and sparkly! There are several shades available, which cost $5.50 if you buy 1 (bulk order discounts are available).
This has quite a clean crackle to it, which I prefer. It's also somewhat adjustable. If you apply a thicker layer, you get a bigger crackle. I've applied quite a thin layer to my index finger and a thicker layer to my ring finger and the difference in crackle is quite noticeable.
I find this kind of thing really does work best over a contrasting colour of nail polish. I think this finish is meant to be seen!
