Haul: Lincoln 07/02/10

I really should stop going to Lincoln so often, it's very bad for my bank account. Surprising really, since the make up shopping in Lincoln isn't actually that good. Oooh, I'm going to Nottingham in just over a week. That's going to be expensive. The make up shopping in Nottingham is *very* good.

First stop was Lush! I'm going back to Lush skincare, with the odd go at testing when something interesting gets offered. My skin is happiest with the Lush, even though it doesn't really react to much. I like a very simple skincare regime.

-Ultralight Moisturiser - an old favourite, haven't had a bottle in a while.
-Angels On Bare Skin - heard so, so many raves on this . It smells amazing.
-Dark Angels (sample) - I thought this might be a bit harsh on my slightly dry skin so they gave me a little to try out.

The staff in Lincoln's Lush are always lovely. Even when it has been busy, they've always been very helpful. I got told on Sunday that Lush will be taking on some of B Never's products (foundation specifically was mentioned).

I was planning on a visit to Superdrug anyway as I've got some US drugstore goodies on the way in exchange for Sleek. I, of course, had to pick up a couple of bits for me. For some reason, I had to explain to the woman on the till that all the make up I was buying wasn't for me. She thought I was being a little excessive. Seriously, not her business. I've spent way more in one go on make up in Superdrug than I did on Sunday. Mostly nail polishes for me this time. I noticed some new shades on the L'Oreal stand, they're black bases with rich jewel toned shimmer. Gorgeous.

-Gosh Waterproof Eye Shadow "Love That Beige!"
-Collection 2000 Hot Looks Polish "Wow"
-Me Me Me Metallic Polish "Pewter"
-L'Oreal Resist & Shine "#732"
- purple shimmer
-L'Oreal Resist & Shine "#736" - teal shimmer

Maybe I should paint my nails more than about once a month.

Finally, Boots! Another very dangerous place for my bank account. The store I'll be going to in Nottingham is a flagship store, it has everything Boots does! It's amazing. Anyway, Boots No7 had one of their gift events going on. Spend £22 and get a gift set. They're not very imaginative with their gifts, they do always tend to include the same products. It has been a while since I've had one though and it means I can review some of the skincare which a few people have asked about.

-Boots No7 Natural Radiance Highlighter - completely Mizz Worthy's fault! Nothing to do with me *shakes fist*
-Boots No7 Eyeshadow Blend & Contour Brush - possible MAC 217 dupe, will report back.
-Boots No7 Nail Colour "Vivid Violet"
-Boots 17 Maximum Volume Mascara
- and I'm buying more mascara, why? Amazing what coupons will do to you.

The bag the gift came in is a little travel roll. Not sure I'll fit anything travel wise into this. Well, travel size shampoo, showergel, etc I suppose.

-Time Resisting Day Cream
-Age Defence Cleansing Balm
-Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum
-Protect & Perfect Eye Cream
- oh, for men. Looks like Dad can get a gift this time!
-Stay Perfect Eye Shadow "Khaki" - at least it isn't that gold one I usually get.
-High Shine Lipgloss "Smile"
-Extreme Length Mascara
- oh yay, another mascara.

Not bad, considering I had no haulage plans on Sunday!! As usual, if you want any reviews just let me know in the comments.

  3. Very jealous that you get to go to Nottingham - I didn't appreciate it enough growing up there :( Also, I join you in the No7 freebie boredom - it doesn't even really appeal to me these days as it's pretty much always the same :(

  7. I'm starting to love Lush so much, partly because the people who work there are so lovely, it's nice to know it's the same around the country :) Also nice to know they're taking on more of B nevers stuff, wasn't interested in a lot of it, but there were a couple of bits i wanted.

I think it's really odd that boots included a sample for men in a gift that is obviously geared towards women. I guess it's so they can give them to family or partners, but i'd prefer something for me! :P

  8. My hubby bought the No 7 highlighter for me! I've been eyeing it since Mizz Worthy's post too. I've never had a No 7 freebie before so I'm looking forward to having a play. x
