NOTD: 22/10/09 Milani Magical

I finally got round to trying out one of the Milani polishes I got in a swap that I posted about here. My favourite, I think, is the one with orange glitter - "Magical". I hadn't seen anything else like it!

My hands, cuticles and nails are very, very dry right now so they're not in the best condition to be photographing. Also, my nails are splitting and cracking so I've had to cut them very short again. I do wish I could have long nails but it's just not meant to be (job related, blah, blah).

This is three coats of polish, a no-chip top coat and a rapid dry top coat. Oh, and a ridge filler under the whole lot. The first coat looked awful! Very sheer and grey. I honestly thought I was going to end up with 5 or 6 coats to get it to bottle colour, despite what the blogs had told me about 3 coats. Yes, it took 3 coats!

I love this polish. I honestly don't care if black with orange glitter should only be worn around Hallowe'en, I adore the colour and will probably wear it all year round! Horrid brush though. It's thin and round and takes about 5 stripes to do my tiny nails.

In other news, I've had 3 parcels this week! All full of very exciting things I need to show you.

  1. I think polish looks great on short nails anyway Becky!:) This colour looks great but alas being in the UK I will prob never get my mitts on it. May I recommend Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter if you have not tried it. Sorted out my dry cuticles in a flash!
