You can find NYX at Smartbeautyshop and the Jumbo pencils are £3.95 each. There are currently 6 shades available.

I haven't had chance to give these a proper use yet, I've just played on the back of my hand. The top swatch on the second photo is a couple of swipes from the pencil, the bottom is it blended out. They're a very thick cream texture and you definitely need to blend these out when you use them. I'm worried about creasing but smoothing out to a thin layer and pressing eye shadow over the top should prevent the worst.
I'm going to have a go with this for today's FOTD (I will do one once I've walked the dog, it's raining today so I don't want to do it before!) so I'll see how well it works as an eye shadow base.
I've got a few different products to play with so I'll show you more in future posts.
I always use the milk jumbo pencil under eyeshadow coz it makes the colours so vibrant!!! :) but I also use a base like UDPP otherwise it does tend to crease... :)
ReplyDeletei really love these.
ReplyDeleteI do use my udpp under it or it will crease on me.

i agree, using udpp or shadow insurance prevents creasing, but laying the nyx pencil between base and shadow really makes the shadow color pop! they're also great for swiping dark colors across your lower lashes and blending, or using a lighter pencil and sweeping shadow over the pencil line. the pencil gives the shadow something to stick to and intensifies the color.
ReplyDeletei wish there was an international swap-type site where people who want products only available in other countries can contact a person in that country, paypal them the money and have them pick up the items and ship them! i'd be all over Barry M :) There's also a fantastic company called Sinful colors here, wonderfully pigmented eyeshadows and lip products but most places only sell the nail polish for some reason.
im glad someone over here finally started selling nyx, however, im also dissapointed that the products are more expensive than the us :/
ReplyDeleteI know this post is really old but I've just found your blog! You should try these as a base under eyeshadows that refuse to stick, even over UDPP. Swipe it on, blend it out and literally any eyeshadow will last on it.
ReplyDeleteMy fave way to use it is with the black (Black Bean) pencil with a pink or purple shimmery shade on top. You don't see the black at all but it makes the color pop like crazy. I hope you get this message :)
