Commenting

I'm well aware of the current PR issues going on in the beauty blogging world. I am refusing to be drawn into it.

After receiving some horrific comments recently, anonymous commenting has been removed from my blog. I do apologise to those who do not have accounts but post regular comments. A few idiots have ruined it for all of you.

The comments have been removed and all comments are now moderated.

This is something I do for fun, in my spare time. I am not a professional in the industry and I am independent. While I do receive products for free, that is no guarantee of a glowing review, as those of you who are regular readers and viewers of mine know.

If you want to harass me on my blog, then at least have the guts to do it under your own account.

  2. Oh sweetie I'm so sorry you are having to deal with internet bullies. That's all these people are. They have nothing better to do with their time so they are taking it out on members of the beauty community.

I support ya and I don't blame you at all for moderating your comments. Sad that we have to go there.

  3. @Scarie - Thanks! I'm sure it'll all die down eventually. Unfortunately all bloggers are being tarred by the same brush :(

@Nat - Thankyou, you've been so supportive :) Normally I can ignore it, but for some reason it's just got to me lately.

  5. well said becky :)
some people just dont have the balls to let their true identities show. It takes alot of guts to do what you do with your video and blogs but it doesnt take any guts at all to be an internet warrior like some of the numbskulls out there. I have yet to get any hater comments on my blog but im sure i will in time.
They do say the more haters you have the better you are purely because of the jealousy surrounding popularity.
Keep up with what your doing :) we all love it x x x

  6. Like you, i refuse to be drawn into all this - I would never try to tell someone else what they can and cannot do on their own blog, so I refuse to allow anyone to try to do that to me - I enjoy blogging and have no intention of stopping/changing the way I do it to please other people! I'm behind you 100% xxx

  7. I hate seeing your tutorials/reviews with nasty comments on them, i have no idea how you guys put yourself up on youtube, i really admire you. I would love to do the same, but i am extremely sensitive to criticism. I hope these people dont get you down, you do a great job, and there are plenty of people who enjoy watching you! And sirvinya, can i say that you are the very first person i started watching on youtube, and you inspired me so much, i'm no longer scared to try new make up looks, and have now restored some of the confidence i lost after i had my daughter. So thank you! and sorry for the long one! xxx Jenny

  8. Wow, some people are lame! If you want to talk bad about someone, either do it with your actual ID or just keep your mouth shut.

I hope that those comments don't stop you from blogging because I love your blog and haven't commented on it as much as I should (my defence being I only found it recently).

Please let me know what you think of this entry! Questions, comments, suggestions? Comments purely promoting your blog giveaway will be deleted. I don't mind you adding a link to your blog at the bottom of your comment but try and at least have some response to my post :)
